Donation to GRACE of 1-2 lb Laundry Detergent for families in need

1) Can you imaging going to school in dirty clothes? Sustainable Haus has partnered with GRACE to distribute Laundry Detergent to families in need, after learning that laundry detergent is a big need. We are aiming to supply up to 500 families and will update the listing periodically with a status. Each $20 spent will provide almost 4 families with a pound of detergent enough to wash 40 loads, since Sustainable Haus is matching $10 for every $20 spent. Sustainable Haus, GRACE and the families appreciate your generosity! By the way, with the SH match it is 13¢ a load whereas Tide pods on Amazon are 25-45¢per load and generally get a failing grade by the Environmental Working Group.

2) NOTE that these donations, will result in a "pick-up ready email" However, we are coordinating with GRACE and you will not pick up any orders, these will go direct from Sustainable Haus to Grace, after we fundraise critical mass. After your donation, we will report progress to GRACE weekly or as requested.

DIRECTIONS: Use a rounded teaspoon of powdered detergent per HE load. Use 2 rounded teaspoons for non-HE washers. Do not use too much detergent as it is a water to detergent ratio, and you should pretreat and stains as needed. Place detergent in washer on top of clothing, not in dispenser. For cold water washing, we recommend dissolving detergent in a little warm water before placing in machine. Just add detergent and warm water to a cup, swish for 30 second and add to drum of washer. This step is not needed for warm and hot water washing.

For heavy stains, pretreat by soaking in detergent prior to washing, or use a stain stick (see our Everything Soap Bar for Home which works as a great stain stick).

Pairing Recommendations: use 1-2 Tbs. white vinegar instead of fabric softener*. It does not leave residue or smell, is really cheap & eco friendly. Helps brighten clothes, set colorfastness and disinfects.

Disposal: Recycle paper when no longer needed, and dispose of metal twist tie.

Impact: Using laundry detergent with simple, pure ingredients is better for people and planet. Refilling laundry detergent in the same container rather than buying new, plastic containers reduces waste.

Ingredients: Saponified coconut oil, super washing soda and baking soda.
