Description
DESCRIPTION: As durable as it is versatile, enamelware has long been a cook’s favorite in the kitchen. It moves easily from refrigerator to oven and stovetop- even to the barbecue or grill. The baked-on porcelain finish makes it easy to clean.
- Small: 4 qt, 12.25"
- Medium: 8 qt, 14".
DIRECTIONS: Enamelware is steel with a porcelain coating. All are hand-painted. Don’t use enamelware in the microwave (it is metal). Don’t use abrasive cleaners or hard water stain removers. Don’t use sharp-edged metal utensils on your enamelware, or it will scratch. Don’t allow enamelware items to boil dry when using them on the stovetop, as that may damage the enamel surface. Dishwasher, stovetop, and oven safe – be sure to use an oven mitt as the metal will get hot.
IMPACT: Plastic leeches chemicals into food – we try not to store or serve food (especially hot) in plastic to decrease our exposure to toxic chemicals.
DISPOSAL: These pieces are meant to last a very long time – even with chips, they are still safe to use. We currently do not have a specific answer for what to do with these at the end of life, except that they make very colorful garden pieces and planters.
INGREDIENTS: Carbon steel with porcelain coating
