Set of 4 matching reusable unpaper towel made of 100% upcycled cotton – woven fabric on one side and flannel on the other, in assorted colors/patterns. Flannel won't scratch surfaces, is absorbent and looks nice. It washes well and can be reused for years to come to clean up your everyday messes.
After each use, just wash with like colors in the laundry. I fold mine and leave them on the counter. We keep about a dozen in the kitchen and about 4 in each bathroom.
These are superheros in our house — we reuse upcycled fabrics after a sanitizing wash and then we help to save thousands of trees. If every person in the US used one less roll of paper towel annually, we would save up to 16 million trees, 19 billion gallons of waste water. And that's just the start: there is the energy cost, greenhouse gasses, etc. And getting closer to home, you can save hundreds by not having to buy paper towel! Machine wash with like colors — warm for whites and cool for colors, use only non-chlorine bleach, warm iron if you must. (Who irons paper towels?) I do add non-chlorine bleach for messy loads as a disinfectant.
